What is TILE?TILE is the world's largest conversation series. Started by high school students in Portland, Oregon, TILE is a worldwide network of independent student-run chapters hosting free, accessible conversations with fascinating people. We hope to inspire the use of innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurship as a force for good, and TILE chapters are encouraged to host conversations with individuals who reflect the pinnacle of ethical and thoughtful behavior.

What are TILE Talks?TILE talks are the free events that the Frisco chapter organizes and operates. Each season has a few events (3-4) taking place one evening, every season of the year. Each event features a 30-40 minute on-stage interview with a local innovator, leader, or entrepreneur, followed by 20-30 minutes of questions from the audience.

We are young and ambitous students who constantly strive to make an impact on the blooming community of Frisco. Throughout our education, we have observed that school teaching is based on a strict curriculum regarding the mandatory core subjects. Which causes schools to not put a high enough emphasis on career related pathways. This results in many students to be unknowledgeable about what it takes to be successful in their passion. We built a TILE chapter in Frisco in order to help the youth community and to further give them an idea of numerous careers paths. Not only will this prepare teenagers/children in the near future, but it will also develop their skills and knowledge. |
